Hire a String Trio or Piano Trio for Your Event or Show

As well as a string trio, we also offer a piano trio (piano, violin and cello) which has such an amazing sound. If you have a piano at your venue that’s been tuned recently this might be an option worth exploring! Combining the sounds of a rich grand piano with the strings is intensely beautiful and dramatic and you’ll love it. We can play all the music on our repertoire list as a piano trio. If there isn’t a piano at your venue but you’d still love to hire a piano trio, then you can hire a piano trio with electric piano. Our pianist will bring their electric piano along, for an extra fee quoted upon request.

String Quartet

Our string quartets for hire are the best in London. All our musicians are trained at the best conservatories and perform regularly with London's professional orchestras. Hiring a string quartet is a fantastic choice for those wanting a little bit of extravagance and the full ‘Bridgerton’ experience. You will hear the full range of harmonies that come from two violins, a viola and cello.

Violin and Cello Duo

Our violin and cello duo is one of our most recommended choices at String Musicians London. As a string duo, we can perform all types of music and we are even more versatile than a string quartet. If you’re looking to hire a violin and cello duo for your wedding or event, we are the experts! Solo Violinist

Hiring a solo violinist is hugely popular for weddings, special events and proposals. Our team is comprised of top violinists who are highly experienced in all performance settings. Solo Cellist

London Two Cellos

What’s even better than a single cellist? Two cellists! We offer a unique ensemble called London Two Cellos for those who are lovers of this instrument. Perfect for any special event, and utterly unique. Our musicians approach each performance with the same spirit, whether we’re playing Pachelbel’s Canon for your bridal entrance or performing Bon Jovi in front of a crowd.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the String Trio bring all the equipment?

Yes, we do! The only thing we request from the venue are chairs and a covering for us if we are playing outdoors, in order to protect the instruments. A gazebo or some large sturdy umbrellas are suitable for this.

Will the String Trio be amplified?

If you’d like to book our string trio with amplification, that is certainly an option and we can bring our PA system with microphones. Please let us know at the time of booking if this is something you need.

Sometimes the venue has an amplification system available which we can use, so it’s a good idea to check with the venue. Usually we do not need to be amplified, but some clients like this option if they are booking us for a particularly large event.

Do you have different string ensembles for hire?

If you’d like to book an ensemble that’s larger than a string quartet, that’s certainly an option and something that we have organised many times. Just let us know what you’re thinking and we’ll help you to plan! We also offer a violin and cello duo, London Two Cellos and a solo violinist or cellist.

We’re always excited to get creative and think outside the box.

Can I hire a String Trio to perform for my destination wedding?

Yes! This is something we have a lot of experience with. It’s always a good idea to book a reliable ensemble to work with for your destination event, rather than a lesser-known local string trio or ensemble.

Communication with us is always easy! We are reliable and of course fantastic musicians, so it’s always worth it to have your mind at ease so that you can enjoy one of the most important days of your life with no stress!

Our team can help with the travel arrangements too. We have much experience in this regard and we jet set with instruments all the time.

Does the String Trio play Bridgerton music?

Yes, we have all the songs from Bridgerton in our repertoire, and we have worked with Netflix, so we are very familiar with the Bridgerton vibe.

What kind of keyboard would the pianist bring for the Piano Trio?

The pianist has a fully weighted, touch sensitive and full-range electric piano. We of course would prefer if the venue had a piano (tuned!) that the pianist can use, but if not then we will check our pianist’s availability and see if they can bring their electric keyboard.

The electric piano wouldn’t be as loud as a grand or upright piano.

What does the String Trio wear?

The girls will wear colourful ballgowns / long dresses, and the guys wear suits. If there is a specific colour scheme you’d like us to match, please let us know and we will see what we have in our wardrobes!

Can the Trio perform anything on the repertoire list?

Yes! Our repertoire list is curated for all ensembles. We can perform everything on the list as both a string trio and a piano trio.
